Proposed Minutes of
Dayton Township Planning Commission Meeting
June 21, 2010 Meeting was called to order by Doug Graham at 7:30 PM

Present were Doug Graham, Ralph Mock, Bob Steele, Chris Yens, Richard Overton, Ernest Coleman, and Nancy Chin.

Minutes from April meeting were read, and a motion to approve the minutes was made by Chris Yens, seconded by Richard Overton, motion carried, minutes were approved.

Zoning Administrator’s Report: Bob Cook reported: that there is progress being made concerning the Shay Lake demolitions. The people there are stepping up and cleaning up their lots. He also reported that he took Elenor Kilmer copies of the Blight Ordinance so they could be mailed out with the taxes.

Secretary’s Report: No calls were received, correspondence was received concerning the MTA 2010 Summer Evening Planning and Zoning Update.

Doug Graham received a letter from Stacy concerning the MTA magazine, noting that the publication is normally distributed to Planning Commission Members. He also received a notice of a seminar concerning MTA: Rules of Defensible Decision Making, which he felt it was necessary that several members to attend the seminar.

Old Business: Membership cards for Planning Commission Board Members tabled for next meeting due to Nancy having to consult with Stacy concerning the terms of service once again, as the issue has not yet been resolved. Stacy must also be notified that the packets made concerning the Zoning Ordinance Book are missing the amendments made previously.

Changes to the Zoning Ordinance Book Packet

1. Change Section 2-11 Zone Plan: from Township Zoning Board to Township Planning Commission.
2. Change Section 3.01- Administration: from Township Zoning Board to Township Planning Commission.
3. Section 4.04 Site Plan Review Procedures included in packet- Previously made amendment not included, as well as missing amendments for Sections 5 & 6.

Public Comment- No Public Comments made.

New Business: Next Planning Commission Meeting Sections 5-8 are to be reviewed.

Motion made for the adjournment of the meeting by Ernest Coleman, seconded by Ralph Mock. Meeting adjourned at 8:47 Pm by Doug Graham-Chair. .
