Proposed Regular Meeting Minutes
October 5, 2009

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Members Bob Cook, Stacy Phillips, Eleanor Kilmer, Bob Steele and Mike Mocniak were all present.

Minutes from the September 8, 2009 meeting were motioned for approval by Mocniak and seconded by Steele. Motions carried minutes were approved.

Public Comment: No public comment at this time.

Ambulance Report: Glenn Fox was present to give this report, there meeting was on the 11th of August, with all members present, at which time they approved the minutes and financial statements for the prior two months. There has not been any change with volunteers; they are still in need of any new members that would like to volunteer some time. There are some new EMT and MFR classes coming up if people are interested. They have also sold their old ambulance rig to Almont Fire Department for a bid of $18,000. There next meeting will be the 27th of October.

Planning Commission: With the absence of Doug Graham, Bob Cook mentioned that there next meeting will be the 19th of October at which time they will discuss the blight ordinance.

Cemetery: Eleanor reported that there were two burials for the month, Corey Sanders and Ouina Garner.

Trustee: Mike had commented that he has made a return phone call to the MTA in regards to cemetery lots and what to do with those lots that have been purchased and the family has moved away. They have not been able to give any clear answer to this question yet.

Supervisor: Bob commented about the problem that the beavers had made on the corner of Phelps Lake Rd. and Maple Grove Rd. They have blocked up the c reek and it has caused flooding over the road. The county has tried to take care of the problem but the beavers are pretty persistent.

Treasurer: There is an income of $1,688.77 mostly due to the burials and lot sales, expenses of $90,143.35 due from the road commission bill, wages, waste management, and envelopes. In the checking there is $6,958.70, money market $14,762.93, face value of the CD’s are $264,093.85 with a total on hand of $285,815.48.

Clerk: There are invoices to be paid check #5744 - #5759 in the amount of $16,935.68, at this time Steele motioned to pay bills, seconded by Mocniak. Motion carried.
Stacy then had read the letter from Mayville Ambulance requesting more volunteers. They are in need of new people to join to help out at the base.

New business: Mike Peet was asking some questions on selling a lot at Shay Lake Sublot #3 and what the requirements were to put a mobile home on this lot. Bob had answered his questions and then informed them that when they had a site plan ready, to present it to him, and they could make sure it was satisfactory to meet the zoning requirements. He also informed them on whom to talk to at the health department for a perk test.

With no other discussion there was a motion for adjournment at 8:00 p.m.
